Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

 

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis on Child Development as well as my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I then went on to complete my Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have training and certification across the lifespan and additional experience and passion working with pediatrics and individuals experiencing first episode psychosis. 

 

As a prescriber at TPC, I provide comprehensive and systematic health assessments for both common and complex psychiatric clinical situations, incorporating diverse and culturally congruent approaches to practice. I perform risk assessments and determine appropriate crisis interventions as needed. A large part of my work involves recommending evidence based psychopharmacological interventions, while emphasizing polypharmacy reduction and promotion of non-pharmacological interventions when clinically appropriate. I am passionate about coordinating and collaborating across community healthcare systems in order to improve continuity of care and promote optimal outcomes for my clients.
